New Journey

The other night I was privileged to speak at the Warren County S.A.L.T. (School-to-Adult Life Transition) meeting about Social Security and youth transition.  I have done similar speeches in the past and am scheduled to do more in April and June (visit my events page for more information).  It is always special to me to meet parents who are navigating the same crazy maze of agencies and services as they try to assist their son or daughter have an enabled life.  Our children may face challenges, but they still have dreams, goals, and desires.  It is our job as parents and community partners to help them to realize those goals.  This can be a scary time —  going from school into adulthood — going from one job to another job.  Different paths, but the same feelings of fear and trepidation.  I am here to tell you that there is nothing to fear.  Please visit my site often.  I plan to share tips and resources that will empower you to make those critical life choices necessary to protect and nourish your children’s needs.  Find out more about S.A.L.T.
